Effective from October 1, Nashville, TN, entered Phase 3 of its reopening plan, implementing several key changes affecting meetings and conventions.
Highlights of Phase 3:
- With an approved plan from Metro Public Health, events can be held at 30 percent capacity, up to a maximum of 500 people
- Masks are required at all events and in all public spaces
- Restaurants and bars may operate at 50 percent capacity with social distancing; patrons can be seated at up to eight per table
As the city continues to safely reopen, over 700 restaurants, venues, and businesses have signed on to the "Good to Go" program, a hospitality safety program created by the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp, in cooperation with Vanderbilt Health and Ryman Hospitality Properties. "Good to Go" is a hospitality safety program to ensure that businesses are ready to welcome visitors and residents as the city reopens. Separately, Nashville's Convention Center Authority announced the appointment of new board member, Norah Buikstra, who was appointed by Mayor John Cooper and confirmed by the Metro Council. Last month, the Convention Center Authority announced the reappointment of Seema Prasad and the appointment of new board member, Austin Brown.
