Recognizing that many U.S. travelers and executives are looking for ways to safely bring loved ones and team members back together, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Florida has announced the introduction of onsite rapid COVID-19 testing for groups.
“Providing onsite testing is a necessary step in creating a pathway for family reunions, business meetings, incentive groups and more to once again begin to gather,” said Gary Brielmayer, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa general manager, in a press statement. “We’re getting closer and closer to getting back to some sense of normalcy each day, and we want to make sure we’re ready to welcome groups back with a variety of measures to ensure a risk-free setting to reconnect. We know it will take time for larger meetings and events to come back, but we hope these new measures will allow for some groups to feel comfortable to come together to reconnect and celebrate everything they have missed in the last year.”
Currently recommended by the American Hotel and Lodging Association and part of Hilton’s "CleanStay Program," the resort has enhanced cleaning measures and social distancing protocols in place. The new rapid PCR and antigen testing options are now available as an add-on to the group experience. Both testing options provide results in 15 minutes or less.
Onsite testing will be provided by FastLabs, who will work directly with groups to create a customized testing program for each based on size, activities and needs. With more than 20 years of experience in providing effective diagnostic testing solutions, FastLabs only uses FDA-authorized PCR, antigen and antibody tests, all with results in minutes and administered by trained technicians. The company will also offer supporting preventative services for groups that opt-in to its CleanZone program; services include custom COVID screenings, temperature checks with mask verifications, and safe hypochlorous acid misters (a deep sanitization method to create a safe environment).
