Corporate Travel Management Limited (CTM) has agreed to acquire Travel and Transport, Inc. (T&T) including its Radius Travel business for $200.4 million, creating one of the world’s leading global mid-market corporate travel managers, with combined CY19 global TTV of $7.6 billion.
Hickory Global Partners, a global corporate travel alliance for travel management companies (TMCs), corporate travel departments (CTDs) and corporations has engaged Partnership Travel Consulting (PTC), a corporate travel management consulting firm comprising travel industry veterans with an average of 20-plus years of experience. PTC will deliver unbiased corporate hotel sourcing and optimization solutions to corporate clients of Hickory’s membership.
ABC Global Services has announced that it is acquiring the assets of CCRA (The Travel Commerce Network) in an integration of the two largest providers of hotel content and travel agency services. Combined, the two organizations will prove mutually beneficial to their travel management company (TMC) and agency clients by providing travel and hospitality products and personalized service administered by the industry’s best account management team.
Bettoja Hotels Collection, an Italy-based, family-owned hospitality collection, has completed work on the second phase of a major renovation project at its properties in Rome. The collection's Congress Conference Center has been completely refreshed and is now operational, adding to the total meeting space capacity of the three hotels that are part of the collection.
The renovations also included 70 new Premium rooms and suites, as well as other enhancements, at the group’s flagship property, the Hotel Mediterraneo.
Paris has returned as the top city for meetings, according to the ICCA’s Country and City Rankings report. The latest report, which covers 2018, sees Paris return to its number one position, which it had not held since 2016.
Big news in New Orleans event venues: Construction has begun on the Four Seasons New Orleans, the first of the brand’s properties in New Orleans. The new 341-key, 81-residence property is slated to open in 2020.
The structure it's located in, Two Canal, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been nearly vacant since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005. The restoration, renovation and modernization of this structure will make it one of the largest Four Seasons hotels in the brand’s portfolio.
Looking to book a luxury event in Boston? Four Seasons is prepping to open its latest luxury hotel inside a new 61-story skyscraper in the Back Bay neighborhood. Designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in collaboration with Gary Johnson of CambridgeSeven Associates, the building is now the third tallest in the city at 724 feet.
