The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has established a new advisory board to help the destination increase business from the global MICE industry. In addition, to strengthening Jamaica’s position as a leading destination for meetings and incentive travel, the Board will ensure that the JTB’s Groups & Convention Department remains on the cutting edge of the latest industry trends.
The Jamaica Pegasus, a Kingston business hotel, continues to pivot its operations to best meet the needs of today’s increasingly mobile corporate world with the launch of new "Co[ME] Work" packages. The new packages target work-from-home professionals and students who could benefit from a change of scenery to spice up their typical workday. "Co[ME] Work" packages include the private use of guestrooms converted into office suites, with desks and conference tables replacing the hotel’s beds.

Posadas, the largest hotel company in Mexico, is planning to open a new convention center in Tulkal, the company said in a presentation on its growth strategy at Tianguis Turistico. The new venue, which will span over 33,000 square feet, represents the company's biggest investment in the meetings market to date.
