Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Florida plans to start 2021 with the opening of the new luxury hotel, Hotel Effie Sandestin. Facing setbacks due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) that delayed the 2020 opening, Hotel Effie is now confirmed to open February 1, 2021.

Big news in New Orleans event venues: Construction has begun on the Four Seasons New Orleans, the first of the brand’s properties in New Orleans. The new 341-key, 81-residence property is slated to open in 2020.

The structure it's located in, Two Canal, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been nearly vacant since Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005. The restoration, renovation and modernization of this structure will make it one of the largest Four Seasons hotels in the brand’s portfolio.
