FITUR 2021: A Strategic Edition for Tourism Recovery

IFEMA is working on a "very special edition" of the International Tourism Fair, FITUR 2021, with the challenge to set a turning point and contribute to the recovery of the tourism industry. In the upcoming fair, FITUR aims to adapt to the current context and to the needs of companies, countries and destinations that will lead to the revival of the tourism industry.  

VisitBritain: International Flagship Trade Event 
ExploreGB Will Go Virtual in 2021

VisitBritain has announced that its flagship annual travel trade event ExploreGB will run as a virtual event in 2021. ExploreGB Virtual, taking place from March 1-5, 2021, will invite international buyers to connect online with travel trade suppliers from across the UK to do business and boost bookings.

Attendance is free with registrations set to open from mid-December.

The next edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITUR 2021, will be held from the May 19 to 23 next year, as agreed by IFEMA and the FITUR Organizing Committee. This comes after a meditated decision that, exceptionally, makes this event essential to the recovery of the tourism industry, at a time that will still preserve its high international impact and thus, promote the professional reunion of companies, countries and destinations and provide a much-needed boost to the worldwide tourism activity.

The Hungarian Event Industry is Prepared to Host Large-Scale MICE Events

On September 10, the #PowerOfLiveEvents initiative left the virtual space and converted into an all-day live conference with support from the newly formed Budapest Convention Bureau and the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre and with the cooperation of the industry associations.

Heavent Meetings Hosts First Event in France Since the Coronavirus Pandemic Hit

More than 350 exhibitors, 500 decision makers and 1,850 participants attended the MICE event by Heavent Meetings in the Palais des Festivals Cannes in the beginning of September. (A)LIVE, the outdoor conference, which involved speakers from the event industry and the mayor of Cannes, marked the first tradeshow taking place in France since March.
