The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has announced it will host a virtual gathering for its Premium members—the ASTA Premium Business Summit, a live, engaging virtual event running from November 9-11, 2020. This annual event is complimentary for all ASTA Premium members and, given the new virtual format, the programming has been expanded to any employees (W-2) from any ASTA Premium member company. Registration for ASTA Premium Member companies and staff are free, but registration is required.
Last week week, a coalition of almost 200 travel, hotel, franchise, and state and local government groups called for Congress to not go on recess without providing relief for sectors devastated by the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, a group of 17 CEOS of the largest U.S. travel companies sent a statement to leaders in Washington, pleading to advance a subsequent round of legislative relief from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
