New Mandarin Oriental With Ballroom to Open in Tel Aviv

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced that it will manage a new hotel and residential project in Tel Aviv, which is scheduled to open at the end of 2023.

The new Mandarin Oriental, Tel Aviv will have 225 guest rooms, including 44 suites, with most accommodation offering views of the Mediterranean and the Tel Aviv skyline. There will be five restaurants and bars serving a variety of cuisines and a range of flexible meeting facilities, including a ballroom.

The property’s standout feature will be its waterfront location overlooking one of the city’s Mediterranean beaches. Based in the city’s most exclusive residential area, it is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Many of the region’s attractions are easily accessible, including the city of Jerusalem, which can be reached in an hour.

The Group’s signature wellness therapies and treatments will be provided by the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, and the property will also have a well-equipped fitness centre. A particular standout will be the extensive pool area with a variety of outdoor dining options and a waterfront pool club offering a wide range of sports activities.

The 230 Residences at Mandarin Oriental will provide a range of dedicated facilities, as well as access to all the hotel’s amenities and Mandarin Oriental’s service.

The project is being developed by Seagate Real Estate Ltd., led by Hertzel Habas, a Tel Aviv-based luxury developer, and Orit Freedman Weissman, a former Goldman Sachs partner.

The international firm Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF), who designed The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, has been appointed as hotel architects, with interiors by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who were also responsible for the interiors of Mandarin Oriental hotels in Milan and Bodrum. Moshe Tzur Architects, an Israel-based architectural firm, has been appointed to design The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, with interiors by Milan-based Michael Vincent Uy (MVUY).
